"Huw 's work with our Board, executive team and managers helped us reimagine leading and governing change, and has given us the tools to do so effectively. "
- Mark Orr AM, Chief Executive Officer
We live in an age where global competition, innovative tech, expansive regulation and other mega-changes force organisations to continually adapt to meet evolving stakeholder expectations.
Failing to stay on par with the rate of change puts your market relevance at risk.
Additionally, our always-on information age, creates a sense of 'change hysteria'.
The disruptive forces mean organisations react by implementing a multitude of changes at extreme velocity.
But most organisations implement too many changes, too fast, without a solid understanding of what it takes to succeed. Consequently they cut corners, don't embed changes and fail to deliver a return on their transformation investment.
Rapid organisational change is only achievable with the required capability and readiness.
Most organisational changes efforts fail to deliver lasting value.
They fail for various reasons.
They fail because leaders lack the understanding of change to lead, manage and govern it effectively.
They fail because they are ill-timed or not strategically important enough to garner sufficient attention and resources, amid numerous competing priorities and change fatigue in the culture.
They fail because organisations cut corners in the complex, time-consuming process of getting hundreds of employees to understand, commit and conscientiously embed new ways of working.
Change projects also fail because they lack the right metrics. Too often they're focused on implementing new software on-time and to budget, disregarding whether or not that solution is understood, is being utilized or if is delivering any real business value.
We want change so we plan a ton of it. But we don't know how to make change happen successfully.
Change failure rates are at epidemic proportions and it costs organisations millions.
It also leads to hidden, long-term costs like employee disengagement, damage to culture and lost operational productivity from all the wasteful distractions.
Imagine if you had an executive team, senior leaders and middle-managers who had a shared understanding of what it takes to make change happen and the skills to lead people through it successfully?
What if your decision-makers 'got change' and therefore made smart decisions about what to change and how to go about it?
What if, instead of overwhelming your workforce with poorly executed change projects, you implemented the most valuable, highest priority strategic projects with a comprehensive, well-executed change process that resulted in all projects delivering massive lasting value?
What if your leaders were equipped to turn your organisation into an adaptive cultural phenomenon, able to adeptly lead through the ambiguity of our times and stay ahead of the next unforeseen disruptive force?
It is possible.
Implementing change with high frequency, volume and scale requires more than an effective project delivery team.
Your whole organisation, from executives, senior leaders to middle-management and the frontline must be equipped with the knowledge, skills and cultural beliefs that enable rather than resist change.
Huw's Transformation Leadership program gives you just that.
The program is suitable for executives and experienced managers. It incorporates workshops, assessments, coaching and advisory support over several weeks or months. It is comprised of modular options, configurable to your transformation needs.
Leave a legacy by elevating your organisation up the change maturity ladder.
Organisations that have mastered the ability to consistently execute and embed large-scale organisational change, do so through a combination of change management, leadership and governance capabilities. This gives leaders the ability to architect and oversee a portfolio of initiatives and employees the adaptive cultural traits to remain committed to the strategy and the changes ahead.
Huw has helped many organisation and their people develop the capabilities to elevate to another level of change maturity. In doing so for you, we'll position your organisation to elevate and sustain its industry standing for years to come.
"Huw's unwavering support, expertise and collaboration have been instrumental in driving positive change within our organisation and beyond. Our partnership has been essential in helping us achieve our goals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve."
- Rita D'Arcy, Chief People Officer
Organisations that successfully move up the change maturity ladder enjoy many benefits, including:
Studies show most organisational change failures are the result of a lack of effective leadership, sponsorship and governance of change from senior leaders.
Without the right capabilities, your leaders risk falling into the same traps, leading to millions of dollars in wasted change attempts, not to mention burning your people out in the process.
So instead ask: what is the cost of not investing in your organisational change capability?
A simplified example:
Say you're investing one-million-dollars in various change projects, you might expect three million-dollars in various benefits to follow (assuming 100% success rate).
But if 50% of those initiatives fail, it's reasonable to assume you might forgo $1.5m in benefits, or at least waste $500K of the upfront investment.
Alternatively, imagine you could improve that success rate by 20% through smarter transformational leadership and governance. So that 70% of your projects now succeeded and you therefore captured $2.1m in benefits. An additional $600K value.
For a larger organisation that is investing $10m or $100m in change, simply 10x or 100x the numbers above, respectively.
Now can you see what is really at stake?
Let's start small and get to know each other.
The Transformation Leadership program is modular and can be acquired accordingly.
The program usually starts with an affordable workshop as an introduction to the transformational leadership concepts in the full program. This is ideally run with your executive team.
From there we can decide if the full program is right for your organisation and who in your organisation should participate.
